Stories that Change the World

Everything you have ever wanted is already in you, you just need to realise and find it within you

It's been about a year since I first started Chronically Driven and I could have never seen how many lives it was going to impact, the biggest change of all has been mine. The project began as a personal mission of mine to talk about invisible disability & reinvigorate a sense of passion in those who feel out of touch from themselves. It might come as a shock to many of you but every email, every conversation that I have from those who have actively reached out to me and have been featured in the project to those who always have something insightful to add to it - I like to think that Chronically Driven has changed many other lives too but the one thing I can be certain of is that it has completely transformed mine, all thanks to you.

Whether you're a reader, contributor, active supporter or someone who just glanced through the project once - all of you have immensely changed me from within. And it's all of you who keep me motivated to keep going. We live in a world where personal feelings are often asked to be left behind at the doorsteps before entering anywhere, if someone can't place you within their imaginary structures they like to believe you're not authentic or genuine and worse, assure themselves of a free pass to ignore you.

I can honestly say, this past year I have had the privilege of getting to know some amazingly inspiring souls and find out about numerous conditions that I had no idea existed either. Many of you write to me almost convinced that your problems aren't big enough to have a strong voice or to make for an inspiring story but I can honestly say, the only problems that get out of hand are the ones we silently ignore until we can't anymore. This was the inherent motivation behind the creation of Chronically Driven, every story, every journey and every person has potentially altered someone's life or at the very least, made someone smile and that's something everyone should be proud of.

What have I learnt from this past year of running the project?

1. All of us have the potential to transform the world except only a few of us realise that we can

2. We are all fighting a battle; big or small is irrelevant rather the difference lies in not just learning from the battles but also sharing the lessons we have learnt

3. There's someone out there who wishes they had your life, no matter how bad you feel your life is

4. Gratitude is the universal recipe for happiness

5. If you aren't scared, you're not human. Being afraid is what propels transformative action

Every one of you who has been with me this past year made me realise that there's a lot more in telling stories than just sharing them and that's the Chronically Driven community who have kept me going through the highs and lows which is why I've opened up this amazing community as a . If you want to be a part of it or know anyone who could use some motivation in their life, feel free to invite them over. I promise to accept everyone unless they prove themselves otherwise however, the group shall remain private because it's a safe place where you can share with confidence no matter what's on your mind.

It's been an awesome year and I'm looking forward to getting to know more inspiring people so please do share this post with them if you know anyone who would be perfect to be featured on Chronically Driven.

What have you learnt this year that's made a difference in your life?
